the day before…i woke up at 5am with my mind racing and things to do. I saw Jordan the day before for what felt like an hour. I was bummed because it had been a week since I saw him. After I decided to get out of bed, since I couldn't sleep, I got up and got ready for the day. I had an appointment with my mom to test my makeup at 8:45am. We headed to Orem to see how the makeup thing would go. I got it done and LOVED it. Crystal with Signature Brides is highly recommended! Anyways after this the day took a downward spiral with a huge big terrible explosion at the end. In the short, censored, uhh positive way, my decorator told me last minute that she was unable to assist with my linens at the wedding, she also said (in exact words) "I just don't really know if you can afford it". I was upset and my mom was FURIOUS!! She wanted to kill this woman. I kept forgetting things that I needed to do, Jordan and I didn't see one another, and I was a WRECK. I didn't eat, I was exhausted… I got mad at Jordan, couldn't think straight and probably appeared to be a psycho. I have the best friends ever because they cleaned my room, BABYsat me, convinced me to eat with a bribe, and put me to bed with two tylenol pm's. Amber spent my last night alone with me…

the big and beautiful day with only one bump in the road…
i woke up and hopped in the shower to get ready for the day. my mom headed to get her hair & make up done. amber and i ate a half of a bagel. kayla came in and we all headed to get our make-up. we had some good laughs & got fancy. after we had to rush back to the hotel so kayla could make my hair all SEXY! when i opted for a side bun considering I had a birdcage veil that i was in love with. she made my hair look amazing, i loved the way it turned. while i was having my hair done i had a plethora of visitors. my favorite (no offense to anyone that came to play) visitor was jerilyn truman, she brought me a note from jordan, it was simple and sweet. written on a yellow post-it in blue ink, "i love you -jay". it was all i needed to keep me as calm as i already was. my hair was done and i went to see my parents and was given the surprise of bryan. it was so awesome to see him, considering the day before all i wanted was a big hug from either of my brothers. of course his hug brought me to tears and then i finished getting my stuff together and headed to the temple. we walked and as i waited for jordan, i sat and took everything in. the one thing that stands out to me about the temple is the peace & quiet that is always present. i saw stephanie walk in and said hey and she proceeds to tell me that jordans temple recommend was gone. (this is the ONE bump in the road that is now hilarious.) he came in and they took his information to verify everything. we got ready and were escorted to the celestial room. the mt timp temple is just absolutely breathtaking. we then went to our sealing. it was such a great feeling to have all our close family and friends there with us. the sealer was awesome. he spoke so beautifully about the temples and our beliefs on the sealing ceremony. i enjoyed every minute of it. after, we went back and i changed into my wedding dress with the help of my mom & jordan got into his suit. i had my something blue(my socks), my something barrowed(lacy gave me her mothers spoon bracelet that was probably my most precious item i wore, it meant so much to me that she allowed me to wear it), something old(was a penny that amber food that was from 1987, the year i was born), and something new(the pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings). after i was ready i walked out and jordan saw me for the first time in my wedding dress. then we walked out of the temple together as all our family and friends stood and watched us walk out as husband and wife. we took group pictures, family pictures, and couples pictures. whitney lewis is an amazing photographer and i HIGHLY recommend her. her husband is her 'assistant' and them together is WELL worth it! we left the temple and headed over to the reception hall. we got to the hall and were ready to get in and get everything started. we walked in to 'fancy' by FloRida. it was hilarious and my dads idea. my grandpa did a ring ceremony for us and it was very sweet! i love him and my grandma so much! after that we had dinner! the food was awesome-jordan and i sadly were not hungry. as you can see in the photo, our food was piled on and we couldnt eat... sad sad sad.
goodwood bbq catered obviously... and the kids that served did a great job they were way nice and extremely helpful. after dinner we chatted with all of our guests. then we did all the dances and all the fun stuff. garter toss, daddy daughter, etc. during all this i got a really pleasant surprise. jordan sang me a song. this was a long request and battle. jordan decided that he didnt want to do a song-so i left it alone. then he surprised me and sang 'marry me' by train. it was the most beautiful song ever. he made me cry and i couldnt believe that it had all happened. it gave me a moment to take in the day and to realize who i was marrying. he truly is my best friend and showed everyone why i fell in love with him. his 'lack of romance' which he calls it left on our wedding day. after everything-we partied. our dj was awesome. seth with utahJIVE, he dj'd and we had james doing the photobooth. we had a lot of fun and it allowed our guests to have a blast. we danced and enjoyed the rest of the evening.
as we were leaving we had our guests using sparklers as we left. jordan opened my car door and we were on our way... we stayed at the Johnson Mill in Midway, Utah. it was a beautiful place and a beautiful room. we were sad to leave but really enjoyed the 2 days of peace, quiet, and married life.
i love jordan so much. it is a weird feeling-you meet someone, date them, fall in love. then you get engaged and that love seems to grow. then you get sealed and it seems that it can go no further. i know it will only grow from here and i am so thankful for the Lord placing us where we needed to be in order to meet one another. i am also thankful for everyone who supported us and helped us on our wedding day. i love all of you so much. for those of you that may have a lack of faith in the love department-it happens and when it does its amazing. for all of those getting married around the corner-take in every detail. remember those things that may seem like they are such a big struggle. they seem so shadowed once you are sealed to your better half for eternity. my wedding turned out to be an amazing day. jordan and i were so happy with it and it was bitter sweet once it was all over.
