took a short trip.

we drove to billings today to buy me new jeans. i feel VERY VERY proud and accomplished something that has not been done since my sophomore year in high school. size 2 jeans... yes seriously... i tried on my usual 6 then was thinking-really is this happening? then a 4...then surprisingly a 2. i really could NOT believe it was actually a 2. im still in shock. after i bought jeans jordan and i went to fuddruckers and housed 2 burgers-no big deal i celebrate like a champ haha. i LOVE fuddruckers and anytime we go to billings we eat there-its VITAL! after fuddruckers we went to look for beds. our bed sucks. tempurpedic is what we are getting. the end of the summer-its OURS! the clould luxe is HEAVENLY!!! oh my goodness its amazing!

as we drove home we talked and enjoyed the beautiful sky. it was cloudy with hints of sun (which makes it look like heaven would look to me) and the grass is growing in slowly-ABSOLUTELY stunning! i loved it. we got home and jordan was bummed. he found out a grade that he is getting and wasnt happy. i tried cheering him up-hes still stressed about it sadly.

tomorrow is family sunday and 2 birthday celebrations-pictures to follow! hope everyones is having a nice weekend & had a great week!

friday i leave to hagerstown to visit my brother! im getting excited-plus its mothers day and i will get to see my mom! its going to be a good week!

easter weekend. sandhills, family, and bowling.

this weekend was so fun. friday night stephanie and reese came up from riverton. jordan and i were in billings at the temple & then had to go to a friends wedding after. we had a fun night of food, fun, and laughs. oh not to mention the stories by ray (my father in law) that we have heard 900x and that get better by story! it makes for a good laugh even if we have heard them. jordan and i headed home because we were EXHAUSTED from an amazing day & me running on 3 hours of sleep the night before.

saturday jordan got up early and went to play paintball with the boys. i slept in until 11-yes 11! i usually dont do that but i knew we had a long day ahead of us! i got up and put our new fans together and got ready. while getting ready i realized i needed to sew a patch in a pair of jeans that i had pretemple... yeah-i patched it and wore them! easy fix! after we got ready we headed to castle rock.

castle rock is super cool and is located between lovell & byron
we got out to the sandhills behind castle rock with most of jordans family. we ate hotdogs, chips, and potato salad. after we ate the kids easter egg hunted-for me this was extreme egg hunting.
the kids starting there search

everyone sitting and watching the kiddos

cari helping the kids

jordan joining in to search for eggs

i dont know whats happening here but its makes me laugh

max the dog

jamie helping cute kaysie get the eggs

still searching

jamie and kaysie
(ps kaysie had the most eggs)

max the boys eggs

kaysie digging in!

this had to be the best part of the day grandma lerose and the paintball gun!
kaysie totally won (if there was even a race) but it was simply because the boys, max & hudson, (who are cousins but absolute best friends) kept giving the other their eggs because the egg was the others FAVORITE color. [cutest thing ever] kaysie is super cute-i adore her. a bunch of people climbed castle rock. kaysie's mom, jamie, took her son max up to climb and kaysie was so sad. she kept asking 'mom. mom. mom.' so i walked her up a little of the way to try and distract her-though once back at the bottom she asked her dad again, 'mom?' it was so cute. after we ate, after the kids extreme hunted for eggs, and before they went rock climbing-jordan & devin (jordans cousin) convinced their grandma lerose to shoot the paintball gun. they had this planned for sometime and were finally successful! it was probably the funniest part of the day and had all of us cracking up!! after the rock climbing jordan and i headed home. we relaxed for a few minutes then started making eggs. mine probably were the best-just saying.
ode to bryan-go COCKS

ode to bryce-go NATS!

...and of course my favorite-DODGERS BABY!

i should have taken a picture of the table because we had probably 3,000 colors and it was a MESS but ill i got were my prized eggs! we were like little kids making eggs. while we were making eggs cresta (my mother in law) made us some delicious brownies & gave stephanie and i the bowl & spatula. it was delicious. once we finished making eggs, max came over to sell us some pork sandwiches he was selling for little league baseball. [of course its my duty as a baseball fan to support the little kids-people always helped my brother so here i am to say im doing my part to do the same] anyways kaysie and max played for a few minutes and max put reeses coat on and i added the hat.

max as a mafia member
after they left we ate and then headed off to go bowling... stephanie (my sister in law) and i were a little unhappy but then we realized-we had the best people next to us.

jordan and kyle his brother
stephanies shoes-probably the only thing that glowed! because they had all the lights on! ridculous
in order: jordan, me, kyle, steph, & reese.
family.
our excitement was uncontrolable.
...there was a boy bowling next to us. he was a cowboy boots, scarf, hat & all. his name was pickle. it was pretty entertaining for us. all in all it was a very SUCCESSFUL weekend.

Sunday we woke up and attended church. after church we headed to jordans parents house for dinner which was delicious. i was exhausted. we played the worlds longest game of hand & foot ever! and then relaxed... great weekend. thanks to all the family that made my weekend awesome!

Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior-A celebration.

"In our hour of deepest sorrow, we can receive profound peace from the words of the angel that first Easter morning: ‘He is not here: for he is risen.'"

“As one of His special witnesses on earth today, this glorious Easter Sunday, I declare that this is true, in His sacred name—even the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior—amen.”
—President Thomas S. Monson

A love unlike any other and the most selfless act of any man, woman, or child. He atoned my sins and everyone else given a chance to live on this earth. Celebrate His resurrection and His life of peace, humility, service, and love. I am so thankful for this day. Happy Easter!

insomniac.

hi im brittany and i have a severe case of insomnia tonight.
my husband is sleeping like a baby.
the wind is blowing at 5,000 mph.
i am up thinking about my family, friends, and a BRILLIANT idea.
family: as i laid down to ATTEMPT sleep i realized when i miss them.
epiphany: at night, usually a little before bed
why? i think maybe protection-i was a freak at home.
my family would leave for 30 minutes-i immediately set the alarm.
then at bed-last one home set the alarm but before that, dad was there.
dads are 100% 24/7 security guards for fear, stress, and worry.
friends: 2 cute boys were born and a girl is on its way.
epiphany: the twins *crossing fingers* go home today & girl an idea for a gift.
why? boys were premature & having a vacation in the hospital.
little girl has a mom and dad who love baseball-ideas ideas IDEAS!
which brings me to the BRILLIANT IDEA.
that i cant talk about yet.
that is super secret and EXCITING.

this pointless but well needed blog was brought to you by insomnia-the sleep enemy.

wily wednesday with a twist of memories

i was able to break out my BRAND SPANKIN NEW sewing machine today. [finally] my grandma got it as a wedding gift because she knows how much i love sewing and quilting [yes i can quilt-i learned from the best] i have had stuff [wedding gifts & nonsense] on my kitchen table since we got married! its finally cleared off. i have a few things to make and i wanted to hem my dress & jordans pants. i felt like i was back at home for a brief moment... being able to fix something & make it new. i love to sew & create something from scratch let alone "edit" [if you will] something that has already been made-making it your own. since i know how to sew i really want to learn to crochet. its next on my list of things to-do! [youtube here i come!]

while i was finishing this up i got a call from my grandma. she was stressed about something & needed a brief moment to vent. its comforting to know she loves me, trusts me, and appreciates my relationship with her. i love her to pieces and look up to her so much. shes the best grandma in the world & she did create the best mom in the world! funny story about my grandma. i was the first grand baby on my moms side of the family-plus i was a girl! [can you say SPOIL-ED] my grandma always wanted to watch me. we were constantly together. i dont remember those infant days but my mom had to put a stop to us spending time together because she was missing me! :) as i got older i would join my grandma on short trips to visit her family. i distinctly remember the smell of my great grandmother and grandfathers homes. i loved our visits to see them. my great grandmother had hair that was the purest white. my grandfather was just so sweet and funny. they loved one another and it was so cute to see them together. my uncle kay & aunt kathy [my grandmas brother & sister] were so fun to visit also. uncle kay was so kind and always gave me loves. i reminded him of one of his daughters when she was young. [he always told me that] aunt kathy is just a sweet & caring woman. she takes care of EVERYONE. visits to her house were always fun. my grandma and i would drive two hours to visit family as we sang our hearts out with the windows down, sun shining down on us, and wind blowing in our faces. i loved that. i am so grateful for the relationship in which i have with her. i love her [& my grandpa of course] to all ends of the earth. i truly have been blessed with the BEST and i mean the BEST family in the entire world.

my mom told me yesterday in my miserable missing home weekly breakdown that i need to stop trying to fill the void of my family & just live in the moment and enjoy my new side of the family. i thought she was crazy but in all honesty-it was the truth. my family is irreplaceable-all families are. i was trying to replace mine with jordans in order to feel better. i now realize i need to quit it! i need to find joy in my (our) journey. adding more family rather than trying to replace my family! [considering my family is one of a kind-and the best its impossible to do]

good night blog. good night world. tomorrow will be here so soon!

per-request of my wonderful grandma

Cafe Rio Ranch Dressing

1 buttermilk ranch dressing packet (make as per recipe)
2 tomatillos (tomato like vegetable with a husk around them. see image below.)
½ bunch of cilantro
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1 lime (you could use 1-2 tbsp of lime juice)
1 jalapeño (use the seeds too if you like it spicy. you could substitute a few drops of green tobasco for the jalapeno.)

How to: Make the packet of ranch, allow it to set, and cool in refrigerator. Remove skins of the tomatillos, rinse the outside, & cut into small squares. In a medium sauce pan heat a tsp. of butter. Once the butter is melted and pan is warm; add the tomatillos. Cook the tomatillos until light brown (about 10-15 minutes). Clean the cilantro and cut long stems from the cilantro. Place the cilantro in a blender or in a food processor. Blend the cilantro. Once the the cilantro is blended add lime juice, jalapeno, and garlic. Blend all those together until FINELY chopped. Add to this mixture 2 cups of ranch. Pulse several times until completely combined. Pour into a container, cool, and ENJOY!

I love you grandma! :)

i also made cilantro-lime chicken to make tacos for this dressing. (a wing it recipe turned DELICIOUS and recorded!)

Cilantro-Lime Chicken

3-4 breast of chicken cleaned and cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons of lime juice
1 teaspoon of dried or fresh cilantro
3/4 teaspoon of garlic
1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper (more or less to heat preference)
salt & pepper
1 teaspoon of olive oil for pan

How to: On medium heat, heat a pan with a teaspoon of olive oil. Cut and clean chicken into small chunks. Place in a medium bowl and add in all ingredients. Mix very well and place in hot pan. Cook until brown. Cover and turn to low until all the juices evaporate and soak up! Enjoy!

simple pleasures.

i enjoy a few things in life. well more than a few but a lot of things make me simply happy. as i am 'growing up' (if you will) those things are changing. today my simple pleasures are just happening over and over.

[my view for a few hours]
1- buying groceries for the week and succeeding with keeping my total under $50.
2- coming home and making our apartment sparkle & shine.
3- pumpkin spice steamer. DELICIOUS
4- blogging; though some days the blog entries are boring-it gives me time to "vent".
5- sitting on the couch with the window open.
[its cold outside and looks semi-stormy but it is breezy & makes the house smell so fresh]
6- baseball on tv.

...all thats missing is jordan!

dinner tonight with his mom and brother, then more studying and homework for jordan while i sit and BLOG! i think i may get 3 in today. hahaha-what a life! [loser]

so...

hopefully this afternoon ill feel up to writing & finish my favorites. i am laying on the couch with my hubby as he reads a book for his english class. the semester is close to the end-i couldnt be more happy! yesterday was a "fun" day. jordan had school pretty much until two. we both are still not feeling the greatest. it snowed about a 1/4 of an inch. i was so happy to see that-since its been so warm the past few days. jordan made dinner for me. he made these delicious bbq cheese burgers. i think he was still feeling guilty for burning a hole in our carpet. it was a bad BAD BAD situation. jordan was getting our bearded dragon out of his cage & sat the heat lamp on the carpet. as we were sitting on the couch holding bodie i smelt burnt something. we tried figuring it out then i looked and jordan and said "where is his light". he jumped up and realized he forget to unplug the lamp. sad day-but we have great friends who gave us an idea. THANKFULLY.  after dinner we watched tangled & i continued with thank you cards. [yeah i know-im late on it, but im getting them done! thats all that matters!] tangled was very cute! i enjoyed it and was glad we finally got to see it. jordan told me something that i thought was hilarious-disney has never thought of an original idea; each disney movie is based on a past idea in history. i think its cool that they make movies with stories from history for kids to understand-jordan doesnt so much agree. after tangled jordan had more homework and then we headed off to bed-it was uneventful reading about it but laughs and memories out weigh the actual events of the day! loving married life!

testimony-talk two

so my hubby and i have been pretty sick the past few days & i am currently suffering through a terrible case of the hiccups! but i will endure to get these done. the second talk that i appriecated was a talk given by Cecil O. Samuelson of the Seventy. You can find the talk here: Testimony

This talk generally spoke on the struggles of gaining and maintaining a testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel here on this earth. He started his talk by speaking of how he was able to work with the youth for much of his life. As he talked about this I thought of last year when I was able to work with the Young Women in my home ward. These Young Women are among the best of the best. They are smart and beautiful along with talented in all aspects and so strong in the knowledge of their personal testimonies & truthfulness of the gospel. While with these girls not only did I learn from them but most of their mothers worked in there with me. Both mothers and daughters taught me so much about the gospel and the strength that is necessary to maintain and KEEP your testimony flourishing.

Brother Samuelson gave 3 answers to questions that people as a majority struggled with:
"First, who is entitled to have a testimony? Everyone who is willing to pay the price—meaning keeping the commandments—may have a testimony. “Wherefore the voice of the Lord is unto the ends of the earth, that all that will hear may hear” (D&C 1:11). A fundamental reason for the Restoration of the gospel is so “every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savior of the world; that faith also might increase in the earth” (D&C 1:20–21).
Second, how does one obtain the necessary revelation, and what are the fundamental steps to achieve it? The pattern has been clear and consistent throughout the ages. The promise given for obtaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon also applies generally:
“And when ye shall receive these things”—meaning you have listened, read, studied, and pondered on the question at hand—“ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true”—meaning you will pray thoughtfully, specifically, and reverently with a firm commitment to follow the answer to your prayer—“and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
“And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:4–5).
Third, is gaining a testimony an isolated event or an ongoing process? A testimony is similar to a living organism that grows and develops when treated properly. It needs constant nourishment, care, and protection to thrive and prosper. Likewise, neglect or deviance from the pattern of living that a testimony clarifies can lead to its loss or diminishment. The scriptures warn that transgressing or breaking the commandments of God can result in the loss of the Spirit and even to one denying the testimony he or she once possessed (see D&C 42:23)."
Following these answers he gave 10 key points that he got from the youth. He said these are points in which we wont be surprised about but often times forget and lose sight of.
"First, everyone has worth because we are all children of God. He knows us, loves us, and wants us to succeed and return to Him. We must learn to trust in His love and in His timing rather than in our own sometimes impatient and imperfect desires.
Second, while we believe fully in the mighty change of heart described in the scriptures (see Mosiah 5:2; Alma 5:12–14, 26), we must understand it often occurs gradually, rather than instantaneously or globally, and in response to specific questions, experiences, and concerns as well as by our study and prayer.
Third, we need to remember that a fundamental purpose of life is to be tested and stretched, and thus we must learn to grow from our challenges and be grateful for the lessons learned that we cannot gain in an easier way.
Fourth, we must learn to trust the things that we believe in or know to sustain us in times of uncertainty or with issues where we struggle.
Fifth, as Alma taught, gaining a testimony is usually a progression along the continuum of hoping, believing, and finally knowing the truth of a specific principle, doctrine, or the gospel itself (see Alma 32).
Sixth, teaching someone else what we know strengthens our own testimony as we build that of another. When you give someone money or food, you will have less. However, when you share your testimony, it strengthens and increases for both the bearer and the hearer.
Seventh, we must do the little but necessary things daily and regularly. Prayers, scripture and gospel study, attendance at Church meetings, temple worship, fulfilling visiting teaching, home teaching, and other assignments all strengthen our faith and invite the Spirit into our lives. When we neglect any of these privileges, we place our testimonies in jeopardy.
Eighth, we should not have higher standards for others than we do for ourselves. Too often we may let the mistakes or failures of others, especially leaders or Church members, influence how we feel about ourselves or our testimonies. Other people’s difficulties are not an excuse for our own deficiencies.
Ninth, it is good to remember that being too hard on yourself when you make a mistake can be as negative as being too casual when real repentance is needed.
And tenth, we must always be clear that the Atonement of Christ is fully and continuously operative for each of us when we allow it to be so. Then everything else fits into place even when we continue to struggle with certain details, habits, or seemingly missing parts in the mosaic of our faith."
The first one is probably the most basic but one of my favorites. Jesus Christ knows each of us individually and knows all our pains, afflictions, and struggles. Not only is or Heavenly Father just a prayer away but they have given us a constant companion of comfort in the Holy Ghost. The other thing I love about these points are that they remind us that it is a continual struggle and a continual battle to keep the knowledge and to help it grow. I think of a testimony as a flower in a garden... you must water the flower and nourish it or it will die. I know from personal experience that it does die. I am both grateful and sad that I allowed my testimony to disappear for a while-losing sight of what is truly most important.Though I am eternally grateful of the knowledge of the scriptures, the Atonement, and of the gospel-here on this earth and especially in my life.

The girls & fellow teachers in Young Womens may never know how much they helped me. They may never know how grateful I am for their example of strength and knowledge. I also am grateful that with that calling I was able to help my testimony grow-maybe just a tad but surely enough to influence my life for the better. Having a testimony and helping it grow throughout life is the strength to keep you from falling to the advisory. I know these things to be true to my knowledge. Amen.

a little late.

here is the start of my highlights of General Conference. i will do one entry a day until i compete it with my favorites. i obviously have these favorites due to a certain connection to how i feel & what is going on at this precise moment in my life. i start first with "Face the Future with Faith" a talk given by Russel M. Nelson of the Quorum of the twelve Apostles. This is the link of the talk which also has links of all the talks given.

in this talk he talked of a grandson recognizing him has grandfather as he spoke in the october 2010 conference. he spoke on his influence of having a loving and caring family who desires to have their children to grow up with the knowledge that they were so blessed to have received from parents and grandparents in their past. a highlight and part in which i was personally touched and grateful for where i am is this:
"It is true. We live to die, and we die to live again. From an eternal perspective, the only death that is truly premature is the death of one who is not prepared to meet God."
is it no true that we are an eternal being. our spirit some how will continually live. the only death we face is the fact that we may not be fully prepared at the exact moment of death. i think of my good friend who was killed in a car accident. though i know he will have an opportunity to be forgiven because God is a forgiving being. continually forgiving and forget the things of he past. i had a dream about my friend. he touched me and gave me a hug, he told me he was great, he was happy, but he had to hurry and go-he had things to do. i have an idea of what those things may have been but i wont know until i cross over. i feel family members with me often and i know that the work being done here on earth is continually being done in Heaven also. next he says:

"Each individual will make his or her way in a constantly changing world—a world of competing ideologies. The forces of evil will ever be in opposition to the forces of good. Satan constantly strives to influence us to follow his ways and make us miserable, even as he is. And the normal risks of life, such as illness, injury, and accident, will ever be present.
We live in a time of turmoil. Earthquakes and tsunamis wreak devastation, governments collapse, economic stresses are severe, the family is under attack, and divorce rates are rising. We have great cause for concern. But we do not need to let our fears displace our faith. We can combat those fears by strengthening our faith."
he follows this statement of the ever present fears we face with a beacon of light. start at home with faith. strengthen your family and your children to face these "destructive" things with faith rather than fear. my parents our home a safe haven. it may not have always been the place i ran to but i had other places i called home or a safe haven. i remember one night i was struggling keeping any sort of faith and struggled keeping my head up so i headed to the temple-it was sunday and closed but the grounds we open. i walked on the grounds and sat on the grass. i stared at the beautiful white architecture, the grass that was so perfectly groomed, and the flowers on the trees in full bloom. i was a peace. it was a place i could sit and think and remember why i am here. soon after-i felt the need to go see my grandma brooks. shes a great woman. a strong one and an example of faith. she talked to me and assured me that i was where i needed to be in life. sometimes we need to hear it out loud that things are happening for a reason: to strengthen us and help us be stronger. if we are where we need to be its because we are obiedient to what our Heavenly Father has given us to do.
"Obedience allows God’s blessings to flow without constraint. He will bless His obedient children with freedom from bondage and misery. And He will bless them with more light......To develop enduring faith, an enduring commitment to be a full-tithe payer is essential. Initially it takes faith to tithe. Then the tithe payer develops more faith to the point that tithing becomes a precious privilege. Tithing is an ancient law from God. 9 He made a promise to His children that He would open “the windows of heaven, and pour … out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” 10 Not only that, tithing will keep your name enrolled among the people of God and protect you in “the day of vengeance and burning.” 11"
I obediently pay tithing (please dont take that as a tooting of a horn) i have a testimony of tithing. i know that if you pay your tithing without a grudge that you will be blessed by the Lord in some way or that it may be a blessing for someone else... i try to remember to ask the Lord when praying that my tithing my find the hands of those in need of the contribution i am giving. i have faith that the tithing jordan and i pay will help someone who is in shambles & is fervently praying that they may find the means they need to get by.

my mom always tells me... even if we are all wrong-everybody on earth has got this whole plan thing wrong, isnt it nice that when we die we think that were going to a perfect place as a perfect being. though it may be a difficult road-we still have this simple and sure thought that will allow us to die peacefully and keep our family at ease when we do. so even if we are all wrong... i will go and do the things i am commanded to do and i will do it in faith & prayer. amen.

a love/hate realationship with this day.

today is my mommas birthday. she is the most beautiful & awesome mom on the face of the earth. she is my best friend. my mom is a humble & caring person. she does everything for her family & always seems to put us before anything or anyone else. she always smiles and giggles and laughs. it makes me laugh. my mom is the reason i am who i am today-without her i would not be where i am or doing what i am doing. she is amazing and i love her to death. Happy Birthday momma! i have no idea what i would do without her....

today marks one year of the passing of my best friends mom. lacy loves her mom as i love mine. that is one factor in my best friends lives that is completely similar-we adore our mothers. karen had a long battle with cancer when finally the cancer won. the cancer may have taken her from this earth but it definitely did not take the memories of her. she was a beautiful woman & a great example of strength to everyone around her. i see these examples so much in lacy. lacy is a strong and independent woman with one of the best friends i could ask for-ever. jordan noticed her amazing nature at our wedding. i didnt think lacy would be able to attend my wedding considering she just had the cutest baby & was working-that being said i didnt ask her to be in my wedding party... even though she wasnt apart of it she wasnt hurt nor was she upset-instead she was helpful & seriously was my organization QUEEN at the wedding. she did everything-even without me asking & it was seriously more than i could ever ask for. jordan said-you really have great friends, normal girls would be pissed and wouldnt even go to the wedding. my friends-including loo...are the best! plus she gave me the honor of wearing her moms bracelet as my something borrowed. and though we mourn the death of karen/mom here on this earth we must remember that we will see her again. our pain is still there but hers is not. she has no pain and is again healthy. lacy i love you & though im forever away-im always here!

anddd....

this is lacie & abby with their parents miranda & shannon.

i was contacted by this guy a few days ago. he was a fan of my brothers and had a very neat story. he wanted to meet bryce-but i cant really do that for anyone. even with out me bryce met these cute kids & their parents & signed there super cute shirts. (i blocked out the faces because i dont know them or the kids but wanted to share the shirts!) the fronts say Luke 1:37 and the back you can see. super cute idea! i love it! so happy about this.

its a blog-mess!

a mess.

so i have been trying to diet & stay on top of my weight. we have been doing insanity(the insane-stupid-ridiculous workout). i dont do it everyday-its LITERALLY impossible. maybe once i get in better shape i will succeed in doing it daily. anyways- i have failed on the "diet" part of this. we arent really on any sort of strict diet but i for sure have seen results from just eating a little better & in small portions. im fuller longer & have more energy. this week- i have been craving everything and anything you could think of. i was craving fish tacos-so we had fish tacos. while at the store for fish taco supplies-i walked by the Easter display. i was craving candy-runts & peeps in particular, so i got runts & salt water taffy instead. ridiculous.

a BIG mess.

i took a week off from the tanning bed. i was getting ashy and it was a little scary. so i decided to go back today. i went big & guess what-im paying for it. my legs and arms are lobster red. haha i look like a lobster!

a HUGE mess.

i have been looking for jobs. i found one in cody at a restaurant-it was the same week i decided to RUIN my hair & had to wait to fix it. im nervous to call and see if the positions have been filled. i found two jobs in the newspaper last night. i called on one today-go figure it was filled and i am waiting for jordan to get home to help me finish my resume to email to the second one. im discouraged & stressed about this. it really sucks. plus when i want to do something like want to buy a new shirt or dress-i feel bad. im not working so i dont feel like i should spend any sort of money. bummer.

now... off to make dinner after my nonsense blog entry... hence the mess!

25 years-a tribute to eternity.

today my parents celebrate 25 years together. though they have been together since they were in middle school. they always give me something to look forward to with jordan. my parents have always been so affectionate to one another & always tell each other 'i love you' when they have the chance to. growing up-us kids always thought it was gross when they would kiss or cuddle-get a room geez. the older i got the more i saw exactly how much they loved one another. the way my mom looks at my dad and the things my dad does for my mom. small acts of kind love. the laughs they share and the jokes they say. (well my dads jokes-mom tries & fails-but thats why its hilarious) they are the greatest parents in the world. i am so happy that they found one another and have lasted through the good days and the bad ones too. they truly are an inspiration of marriage-a picture perfect rendition of what a good marriage should be. i love them so much and i am so proud to call them momma and daddy.

i love you guys so much!

happy 25th anniversary!
