today i have had the the worst headache ever. i have had it since about 11am & i still have it. my throat is killing and im pretty sure that it means im on the verge of getting sick-oh joy! i got off the couch around 3:30 to make dinner because jordan is on a diet & is pretty hungry once he gets home. i did the dishes & finished dinner. jordan got home around 5:45. my head was still killing but i was craving a german chocolate cake. i proceeded to tell jordan how bad i wanted this and he was up & off to the store a few minutes later.
he got back with a box of cake & stuff to make the infamous frosting-which i love.
jordan made me cupcakes with the cake mix and cooked the frosting on the stove. he split the warm cupcakes in half and poured the frosting over the top & middle of each of them. they were AWESOME and the frosting warm is the absolute best!! he made me this, while torturing himself, considering he's on a DIET! he also held out and didnt have any. i now feel extremely guilty though it was WELL worth every bite!
we watched the blindside & now hes making me tea. hes the best.
this is the recipe for the frosting. we just used regular german chocolate cake box & topped this when it was warm:
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
1 c. pecans, chopped or almonds
1 tsp. vanilla
In medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter and eggs. Cook over medium heat, until mixture starts to bubble, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Stir until of spreading consistency.
